Theme for the monthGrowing Healthy – We are what we eat

Your child’s early years are arguably the most important and establishing healthy behaviour from birth will lay the foundation for life-long health and well-being. So it’s important to help and guide him/her to make the right choices so that he/she remains fit and takes a liking to eat the right kind of food. He/She will learn about what comprises a “healthy diet” through this theme.

Effective usage of Audio Visual learning, technology, art and craft and Role plays will be the methodology used.

Language:

Introduction to digraphs ‘a_e, ‘i_e’ and the revision of tricky words: saw, put, also, of, eight, once

Do reinforce the use of new vocabulary: beautiful, amazing, awesome, hardly, rarely, seldom, increase, boost, raise, rapidly, quickly, fast.

Numeracy:

The child will learn numerals from 1 – 70 with number names twelve, thirteen and fourteen. We shall also do concepts of time, seriation and shades of orange colour.

Science experiment: Your child will learn about the five senses
