Playgroup – July 2016
Theme for the month: Fun with pets
Through this theme your child will be exposed to a variety of pet and farm animals. He/she will learn about caring for animals which would strengthen their bond with them. He/she will also learn the similarities and differences among the animals and the products that we obtain from farm animals.
Drama and technology aided lessons will help to enhance their learning experience.
Language:
Vocabulary will be enhanced through the introduction of letters ‘Aa’, ‘Bb’, ‘Cc’ and picture vocabulary related to the theme. Along with these, various activities like book browsing, picture talks, rhymes and stories will be done on a regular basis.
Numeracy:
The child will be introduced to numerals, concepts of colour and size.

Take your child to a farm to provide him/her with first-hand experience of farm animals and you could have a pet at home for your child to look after.
