NURSERY – September 2016
Theme for the month: Exploring the Water World
Teaching preschoolers about the animals and their habitats, characteristics and diet, helps them to relate to the world around them. Thus this month we are back with one more exciting theme ‘Exploring the Water World’. This theme will build your child’ interest and prior understanding by exposing them to some new animals as well as by focusing your child’s attention on how adaptation of each animal enables them to survive in their environment.
Through this theme your child will learn to identify different sea creatures and also differences among them based on their physical features and food habits.
The focus will also be on exploring the water world and learning about the infinite species that live in harmony.
They will develop a deeper understanding about water related concepts and also get to unravel the mysteries of the seashore and its treasures.
Effective usage of Audio Visual learning, technology, art and craft and Role plays will be used as the methodology.
Language:
Vocabulary will be enhanced through the introduction of letters ‘Jj’, ‘Kk’, ‘Ll’, and sight words related to the theme. Along with these, various activities like show and tell, picture talk, rhymes and stories will be done on a regular basis.

This will develop thinking & reasoning skills, as well as aid in confidence building. Please encourage your children for every effort made-they will do better in a motivating and positive environment.
