Dear Parents,

Reading is an accrued skill which fuels imagination and develops thinking. It helps to reassure, to entertain, to bond, to inform, to arouse curiosity and to inspire.

Universal has always believed in the importance of reading and has introduced varied programs to enhance reading skills in the students. To further this endeavour, the school has in place a Library Enrichment Programme, which encompasses setting up of a class library, read aloud and think aloud sessions and the big book reading sessions. All of these programmes have got our young readers excited about reading. For this programme to be a success, the involvement of the teachers and parents is crucial. Hence we will be conducting a special workshop for the parents-‘How to read and What to read’

The workshop will be conducted by Ms. Dalbir Kaur- A Library and Literary Consultant who has been training teachers and parents in renowned schools all over the country.

Date: Friday, 11th August 2017

Time: 2:00 pm

Venue: The Universal School
